Divers from China, Australia, Germany, Russia, Canada, the US and Italy will join a crack British team to compete in the highest quality field seen in Britain for years.

City of Sheffield will be represented by Nicholas Robinson-Baker and Ben Swain.

As well as giving British divers the chance to compete in a world-class event on home soil, the FINA Diving World Series provides an opportunity for British Swimming staff and volunteers to gain valuable experience of hosting international event in preparation for the London 2012 Olympics.

British Swimming Events Manager Charlotte O'Neill said: "The FINA Diving World Series is an integral part of British Swimming's World Class Events Strategy and in addition to the obvious home soil advantage for our divers, there are also a number of wider legacy benefits from hosting the event. Having been awarded the event for three years from 2007-2009, our technical officials and event volunteers have a unique chance to experience the challenges of elite international competition as we look towards the London 2012 Olympics."
