BRODSWORTH crashed to a 158-73 Doncaster Bowls Association Over-60s League Division One defeat at Rounwood.

Colin Draper (21-3), Keith Swancott (21-4), Geoff Tate (21-4) and Alan Bissell (21-2) were all on top form for Roundwood.

Thorpe Marsh-Bentley finished the match strongly with wins from Eric Wright (21-5), Jack Richardson (21-7) and Pete Strutt (21-9) securing them a 153-113 win over Bawtry.

Eddie Hailes won 21-9 for Hexthorpe in their 165-129 Division Two victory over Bentley.

Terry Brelsford (21-5), Eric Bubb (21-8), Sid Price (21-4) and Brian Line (21-8) all showed up well for Westfield Park in their 165-87 victory over Carcroft. Derek Birch’s 21-8 win was enough to give Parklands B a 147-138 Division Three victory over Mexborough B. Thorne whitewashed Adwick B 168-107.

Armthorpe beat Bawtry 73-66 in their Over-60s Doubles League Division One win Keith Huckerby and John Clewer (21-9) won the game for Armthorpe.

Archie Faulkner and Roy Tomlinson (21-5) gave Askern a good start in their 75-58 win over Thorpe Marsh-Bentley.

Parklands carded a 77-61 win over Roundwood.

Charlie Wootton and Shirley Thornton (21-8), Mick Baker and John Armstrong (21-7) and Mick Harper and Norman Clowes (21-4) all had good wins for Pilks Rec in their 80-40 success over Rossington. Pete Strutt and Barry Tomlinson (21-5) shone for Thorpe Marsh-Bentley in their 73-48 win over Parklands. Adwick leap-frogged Westfield Park at the top of Division Two with Mick Brooks and Maurice Mortlock winning 21-3 in their 84-46 victory,
