SHEFFIELD fighter Junior Witter is poised to headline the Prizefighter Welterweights II show at York Hall, Bethnal Green next month.

The former WBC and WBF light-welterweight champion is the star attraction on the bill and could face old foe Colin Lynes on June 7.

Witter and Lynes met in York six years ago, with Witter successfully defending his Commonwealth, European and British titles against the London boxer.

It was in 2006 Witter won his WBC crown against DeMarcus Corley and defended it twice the following year before Timothy Bradley took it from him through a split decision in 2008.

Kevin McIntyre, John Wayne Hibbert, Bobby Gladman, Yassine El Maachi, Peter McDonagh and Nathan Graham complete the line-up for the eight-man tournament.
