BOXING hulk Richard Towers - who is 6ft 8in tall and 17 and a half stone - says he has learned to gain an advantage from his own fear before fights.

The 11-bout unbeaten Wincobank heavyweight says veterans like Johnny Nelson, Junior Witter and Buster Keeton have all influenced him.

Towers, who fights Yuri Bihoutseu, from Belarus, at Ponds Forge in 11 days, said: “These great boxers told me that they have felt fear and suggested I use it to my advantage. I’m hoping to fight for the English title soon so their advice is crucial.”
