Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has lit the blue touchpaper for another huge battle of Britain showdown next year involving Sheffield's World Champion Kell Brook.
The Matchroom boss has tweeted stating that he believes Brook v Bolton's Amir Khan will take place 'this summer'.
IBF World Welterweight champion Brook is currently recovering from a rib injury, picked up while sparring and which caused the cancellation of his proposed bout with Diego Chaves in October.
Meanwhile, Amir Khan is still hankering after a clash with Manny Pacquiao but was quoted this week as saying "If Manny chooses someone else, I'll fight Brook. I know I can beat him and it should be at Wembley in late May."
Should it take place, the war of the roses will be a second massive British boxing event of 2016 with Carl Frampton taking on Scott Quigg in Manchester in February.
