Muheeb Fazelin won’t forget his ‘holiday’ in America - he came back with a boxing title!

The unbeaten Sheffield featherweight accepted a contest with Kenyan-born Anthony Napuny, beat him and walked away with an American International belt.

Fazeldin, 23, from Burngreave, took a unanimous decision at the Eastern Market, Detroit, last month. “It was a beautiful experience, I enjoyed every minute of it” he said. “I have family all over the States and wanted to combine a training camp with a little holiday.

“Boxing is full of opportunities - Kell Brook had one when Gennady Golovkin’s name came up - and this one was a great experience for me.

“The promoter is a family friend and came up with the offer. My opponent was very strong, a tough cookie, and had been in with some very good fighters including Mikey Garcia, (WBO World super featherweight title holder.)

“He couldn’t keep up with my style, I whipped him and dropped him twice.”

Fazelin (W8 L0 D1) said “it became clear that he was durable and wasn’t going to stay down so I might as well enjoy it and outbox him, winning every round in style.”
