Kell Brook is stepping up his bid to become a two-weight world champion with his next opponent confirmed as Canadian Brandon Cook.
Brook heads up a strong undercard to the Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker Heavyweight clash at London's O2 Arena on July 28.
The 32 year old last fought in March against Sergey Rabchenko in Sheffield and this latest showdown is a World Super-Welterweight title eliminator.
Cook, just a couple of months younger than Brook, has fought just once outside of his native Canada and lost in Kazakhstan to home fighter Kanat Islam last September. That was Cook's only defeat from 21 bouts.
“July 28 is a huge night of boxing with a brilliant 50-50 Heavyweight match up and a stacked card beneath it,” said promoter Eddie Hearn. “Kell returns to the scene of his epic shootout with GGG to face highly ranked Canadian Brandon Cook in a World title eliminator that will put him in pole position for a shot at all the World champions."
Also on the bill are Ireland's Katie Taylor and Connor Benn, son of Nogel.
