Kid Galahad is not the cocky, precocious boxer of previous encounters.
Pundits makes him clear favourite to win the Commonwealth super bantam title on Saturday at Ponds Forge.
He faces Australian Fred Mundraby who admits to feeling more comfortable at super flyweight and who has lost his only other fight outside Queensland.
Unbeaten Galahad is 24 and has 16 wins to his credit.
During that time he’s matured into a fine fighter and a sensible young man - he isn’t going to be complacent for this contest. He said: “He has got a different style to other kids I have boxed, he can do a bit of everything. He can box, he’s slick, he’s a good all-round boxer and he can punch a bit. It’s my hardest test yet.”
