If Dom Ingle has been fired by Kell Brook, nobody has told him.
Speculation was rife on Friday that the former Sheffield world champion had parted company with Ingle.
It might be true, as it was published by a credible source, the World Boxing News.
And The Star had heard rumours that representatives of the fighter had been making inquiries about being coached by other trainers.
That speculation includes retired boxer John Fewkes going to Brook's Fuerteventura training base tomorrow - although Fewkes vehemently denies that.
Ingle, in Boston USA for Kid Galahad's world title eliminator tonight, is not losing any sleep over it.
Asked if the rumours were true, Ingle said: "No idea, you never know, does the internet ever lie?
"I haven't spoken to Kell for a few days, who knows it could be, it could be not.
"Nobody has given me my marching orders yet. I don't think Kell is the type of kid to put it on the internet without having a word with me That's not his style.
"But there's never any smoke, without fire is there?" said the trainer. "As far as I'm concerned I've not been given the sack yet. As far as I know I am still his trainer."
Ingle said he was not "particularly concerned" and told IFL TV that perhaps he and Brook could have a "romantic dinner" to discuss any issues.
Ingle added the internet was "full of idiots who don't know what they are talking about."
Brook has not made the situation clear from his end.
