Dale Hutchinson has had to pull out of a local derby at Sheffield’s Octagon.

The city light welterweight Dale Hutchinson, 24, drew an epic 10-rounder against fellow Sheffielder Sam Matkin in March, as the pair contested the British Masters light-welterweight title.

And he’d hoped on May 10, to face off against Barnsley’s Ben Wager for the same belt, but is now off the Dennis Hobson bill with an eye complaint.

Dronfield’s Lewis Taylor fights Barnsley’s Buster Mallin in an IBO world youth title at middleweight on the card, however.

And Liam Cameron takes on Sheffield’s Wayne Reed for the IBO world youth title at super middle.

The non TV show also features former Sheffield soldier Ross Burkinshaw, hoping eventually to get back to title winning ways, under trainer Ryan Rhodes. And Yemini born Hassan Ahmed, 21, who has his eye on Haroon Khan, fights Francis Croes.
