Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd was left to rue numerous missed chances after his side could only manage a 0-0 home draw against Sheffield United.

The Sky Blues dominated mustering 17 corners and 21 attempts on goal compared to the Blades' six and four.

But impressive goalkeeper Simonsen had a superb game to keep a clean sheet. He denied them on several occasions.

Coventry's Gary McSheffrey hit the crossbar twice with second-half free-kicks before blazing over in injury-time.

It added up to two dropped points for Boothroyd's side, who are without a win in seven league games.

He said: "I think today we have provided fantastic entertainment and created numerous chances - enough chances to win five games - and we played very well but we didn't take the chances.
