DBL Sharks Sheffield face another tough British Basketball League Championship double-header this weekend when they face London Lions and Cheshire Phoenix.

The Sharks, fresh from a mixed weekend last time out which saw their first win of the season – 99-90 at home to Surrey Scorchers – before they dropped to a heavy 92-60 road defeat to Bristol Flyers the following day.

Dirk Williams was again among the star performers in the Sharks’ win over Surrey, along with summer signing Rene Castro-Keneddy and fellow American Chris Alexander.

All three will have to be on top form once more this weekend, with Sharks facing a tough test in the form of London at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre tomorrow night (7:30pm tip-off).

Atiba Lyons’ side then travel over the Pennines to face a talented Cheshire Pheonix team on Sunday – 5:30pm tip-off – hoping to fare better than Plymouth Raiders and Worcester Wolves, who have both suffered defeats at the hands of Pheonix so far in 2018/19.
