After being left to mull over back-to-back defeats for nearly two weeks, Bristol Flyers are desperate to get back on the floor this weekend and beat DBL Sheffield Sharks.

Andreas Kapoulas' side host Sheffield on Saturday with both sides looking to really establish their rhythm in this young season.

Sharks are up against Surrey Scorchers tonight before heading to Bristol, where Flyers will be hoping for a repeat of their opening-night home success against Plymouth Raiders, to help them move on from a BBL Cup exit at the hands of Scorchers, and league loss to London Lions.

They have certainly been putting in the work on the practice floor to set things right, and Kapoulas is optimistic about what this group can achieve.

"It's a very important game for both teams," he said.

"Wins early in the season really help to build confidence and that consistency and that's what we are looking for."

He added: "We have a new group and getting used to each other takes time.

"Offensively, it's just about taking open shots and making plays - not just running plays - and making good decisions.

"Defensively, I thing we have the length and versatility to be very good. But in the last two games we have allowed the other teams to make runs in the first half. That's something we need to make sure doesn't happen this weekend."
