Sharks captain Mike Tuck expects his team to carry on last season’s good form when they begin the new campaign tomorrow night at the EIS.

Sheffield welcome Durham Wildcats to the city with Tuck convinced that bringing the core of the squad that finished second in the league last year will be helpful.

“Considering the amount of success we had last season I think the team will benefit from keeping the core of the team together,” said power forward Tuck.

“It helps us to just pick up where we left off. Everyone is familiar with each other and we know how to play together.

“The focus in pre-season has mainly been on conditioning.

“Seeing as this is our third or fourth season together we are all pretty comfortable in our systems.”
