The Sharks are closing in on their second major signing of the summer.
After landing small forward Olu Babalola they now appear likely to bring back the popular Canadian Mike Tuck.
The 28-year-old from Toronto can play either power forward or centre and has offered the Sharks great flexibility since he joined the club in December 2009.
Used primarily as sixth man - first off the bench - Tuck averaged nearly 14 points per match and eight rebounds last season as he picked up his second BBL Cup winners medal with Sheffield.
Standing 6ft 7in tall, Tuck also gives Sharks a three-point threat that other players in his position find difficult to defend.
Sharks have been keen to secure the services of the British passport holding players for the new season, which begins on September 30. Tuck and Babalola fit this category.
