Sheffield Sharks can take a giant step towards securing a play-off place as they welcome Glasgow Rocks to the EIS on Friday night (7.30pm).

The Sharks have won four in a row and are seventh in the BBL Championship with the top eight qualifying for the post-season.

And the recent upturn in form has come at exactly the right time says forward Olu Babalola: “I feel like it’s possible that we’ve finally found our groove at just the right time.

“I don’t mean to sound big headed but I feel like everyone around the league knows that Sheffield is a big club so they should never count us out, so if we have found our groove then we could be dangerous, regardless of who we play.

“We put it down to basically being about time that we have found out groove and it’s time to go.”

Glasgow are sixth with Sharks trying to get the head-to-head tie-breaker in case they end the season level. Babalola added: “We’re excited to play Glasgow for two main reasons.

“One, because we respect them and coach Sterling Davis. and two, because they beat us last time at their place, so we want revenge on our floor.

“If we can get that game then it will only boost our confidence a bit more because we are feeling just as we’re finding our groove, so are they.”

Rocks forward Tayo Ogedengbe: “We know what to expect from Sheffield, we have seen them a few times, we know it will be a tough game.

“But at the moment we are just focused on us and how we are playing, as long as we play as well as we have been, we will be on good form.”
