SHEFFIELD Sharks have the chance to wrap up a play-off berth this weekend if results fall right for them.

A win tonight against Worcester Wolves at the English Institute of Sport (7.30pm) is the first part of the scenario that needs to happen and then they need Cheshire Phoenix to lose to either Surrey Heat or Plymouth Raiders, Durham Wildcats to be beaten by either Surrey or Newcastle Eagles and Manchester Giants to suffer a double defeat against Worcester and Leicester Riders.

It would leave Cheshire and Manchester with too many losses to catch them; Durham would only be able to tie them on points and Sheffield have the head-to-head against them.

And Sheffield would win any three-way tie between themselves, London and Durham to finish seventh. However, a tie with just the Sharks and London Lions would see them finish eighth.

While it’s unlikely that all the results will fall for the Sharks it would be justice for the form that they’re in.

Tonight is Sharks’ fourth match in eight days and a chance to win four in a row for the first time this season after victories against Cheshire, London and Plymouth.
