Sheffield Sharks coach Atiba Lyons is confident his new-look squad is the deepest it has been for years.
Lyons is back in Sheffield preparing for pre-season training after a summer of building his squad.
Americans BJ Holmes and Demetrius Jemison won’t be returning, but in their place are Jeremie Simmons, Patrick Horstmann and Brian Barbour.
Another new recruit is expected to be announced soon.
Lyons said: “BJ and Demetrius are hard players to replace but I’m really happy with what I’ve got in.
“I think we’re deeper this season than we have been and we’ve a lot of good outside shooters that will space the floor.”
The Sharks start their BBL Championship season against Cheshire Phoenix on Friday, September 27 at the EIS.
And they have been handed a home draw against London Lions in the first round of the BBL Cup, which will be played on Friday, October 18. A victory would see them take on either Durham Wildcats or Cheshire in the quarter-finals again at the EIS.
