Young Sharks guard Nick Lewis is demanding his team don’t slip up tonight against second from bottom Surrey United at the EIS (7.30pm).
Sheffield’s hopes of winning the league title have gone after defeat last Friday at Newcastle Eagles 82-78. However, they bounced back in convincing style on Sunday afternoon in the EIS’ Blue Hall with a 71-60 victory over Leicester Riders.
It leaves Sharks in third place entering the final stretch of fixtures during the regular season.
If they win all five matches over the next nine days they will finish in second position .
Lewis, aged 20, said: “Surrey United has been struggling all season for some wins, so we know that they’re going to play against us with nothing to lose. We’re going to stick to our regular game-plan and treat them like any other opponent because we can’t afford any losses.”
Sharks travel to Glasgow Rocks on Sunday (5pm) and their home match against Worcester Wolves has been set for Wednesday night in the EIS’ Blue Hall (7.30pm).
