Sharks small forward Olu Babalola is calling on his team to concentrate on themselves ahead of tomorrow’s match at BBL new boys Birmingham Knights.

The Sharks lost their first match of the season last Saturday at Leicester Riders with their worst display of the young season so far.

But with a Knights team that is likely to come into the match without a win to their name after losing their first game of the campaign and then travelling to Newcastle tonight, the Sharks will be confident of picking up another victory.

Babalola said: “We just worry about doing what it is that we need to do and feel if we do so, regardless of who we play, we have a good chance of winning. We need to obviously score the ball more than the last game. We played well defensively but we need to show maturity and play smart for the whole game.”

Paul Douglas, the Knights coach, is hoping the Sharks will be over-confident. He said: “They will look at my squad and think that it should be a fixture that they should win. After watching Sheffield this weekend I will be expecting them to use their height and physicality.”
