JESSICA Ennis has scotched rumours she is to switch to the hurdles after winning heptathlon gold in London 2012.

The 26-year-old ran a British record 12.54 seconds in the 100m hurdles but declined the chance to enter the individual event at the Olympics.

“I’ve not thought about next year or given the (2013 Moscow) World Championships much thought,” wrote Ennis in the Times. “But I’m still going as a heptathlete. I won’t be switching any time soon.”
