JO Pavey continues her long term build-up to next year’s Olympic Games when she competes at the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run on Sunday.

Pavey, aged 37, who achieved the Olympic marathon qualifying mark at the London Marathon in April, continued her excellent form when she won the Bupa London 10k at the end of May.

Sheffield Half Marathon winner Nicola Squires of Hallamshire Harriers is also entered into the elite race.

Kenya’s Micah Kogo, the 2008 Olympic 10,000m bronze medallist, former 10k world record holder and current holder of the UKA All-Comers’ record will be the headline act in the men’s race.
