The English u17 and u15 Championships take place at Bedford tomorrow and Sunday.

In the u17 women’s section Bronte Jones (City of Sheffield/Dearne) is listed in the shot and discus and is a medal contender. Her Sheffield team mate Ana Garcia is another likely medallist in the 5K walk. Rotherham’s Billie-Jo Harris has entered the 100 and 200m with her team mate Ellie Booker contesting the 200 whilst another Rotherham athlete Amy Gellion is going for the 300 metres. Joshua Lindley-Harris (Sheffield) should do well in the pole vault.

Kaya Walker, also from the Sheffield club, should be prominent in the high jump.

Sheffield Triathlon club junior Members, Ethan Roberts-Cutts, has won the Yorkshire Triathlon Championships (Tri 2).

Over the season he has been consistently dominating races across the county and although there are still two championship races to go in September, his lead is now insurmountable.

He has been selected to compete for the Yorkshire Team in the Nationals at Glasgow in 2 weeks time.

Ethan also won the Yorkshire Championships two years ago (Tri 1), so his younger brother Elliot has grown up inspired by his success, eagerly awaiting the age of sweven at which he could compete himself.
