The SIG Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday has a new base, the Don Valley Bowl.

Its proximity to the former Don Valley Stadium means that the course remains basically the same.

Over 5,000 entries have been received for this event, one of the biggest in Yorkshire. Local runners Phil Cooper and Matt Hobbs (Hallamshire) should be well placed.

The racestarts at 9 am. The route takes in Victoria Quays, Bramall Lane, and Eccleshall Road before returning via Division Street, Arundel Gate and Brightside Lane.
