Arrows trailed early on but an astounding 36–6 run took the initiative from the visitors.

Rob Marsden and guard Ambokile Bell were also prominent in defence and in linking the play together as Arrows reached the interval cruising at 47-25.

There was no hint of what was to follow as Arrows spluttered disappointingly through a third quarter during which their offence looked decidedly out of sync.

They lost the quarter 21–7 but kept a 54–46 lead.

Andrew Purnell was thrust into the action in the final period while Bevard and Rankine combined to lift Arrows offensively again.
