ARMTHORPE maintained their unbeaten Doncaster BA Doubles League Division One status with wins from John Richardson and Keith Ryde (21-9) and Danny Hallas and Melvin Axe (21-6) in their 77-54 win over Askern. Welfare also won away (82-67) at Carcroft.

Hilary Bennett and Ken Crowcroft (21-5) were the best pairing for Yorkshire Main in their 73-52 win over Yorkshire Main.

Eric Wright and Gordon Smith (21-6) and Roger Elston and Mick Finley (21-5) were the pick of Thorpe Marsh Bentley’s four winning pairs in their 84-44 Division Two win over Pilks Recreation B.

Parklands posted a 73-63 win over Brodsworth.

Charlie Wootton and John Armstrong were 21-8 winners in Pilkingtons Rec B’s 79-63 verdict against Wickersley.

Last pair Ron Mortlock and Neil Gregory (21-9) clinched a 75-65 victory for top-of-the-table Thorpe Marsh Bentley in their 75-65 win over Brodsworth.

Alan Burns and Royce Dunhill (21-3) starred for Adwick B in their 71-53 Division Three win over Pilks Rec C, whose only win came from Ryan Batho and Peter Wilson (21-8).

Ivor Parlett and Cec Fowler won 21-5 for Thorne, allowing them to survive a late fightback from Harvesters, who had a 21-5 win from Mick Waite and John Hobson, to record a 65-58 victory.

Steve Walker and Eric Marsh (21-1) and Peter Bilsland and Karl Faulkener (21-7) were both on good form for Pilks Rec C in their 84-35 win over Yorkshire Main B.

Dick Lindley and Dave Smith (21-7) were winners for Hexthorpe in their 72-63 success at Bentley.
