Sheffield restaurant owner opens new bar and grill in one of trendiest spots for eating out
Restaurant owner Chris Kamolli, who ran 2nd Girlfriend Restaurant in Hillsborough and café Roma, has now opened a new bar and grill in dining hotspot Ecclesall Road.
His brand new venture 7 Grills is welcoming guests to his latest Mediterranean grill option in the heart of Sheffield.
If you like charcoal grilled meat and fish, then this is going to tick all the boxes. The simple idea being 7 Grills is that you choose the type and cut of meat you want – be it a 10oz Ribeye, chicken, pork, lamb or a fillet steak – or the fish of your choice and leave the rest to the chef.
Not only does 7 Grills give a nod to the city’s mining heritage, it also sums up the cooking method – the grills are all charcoal, not gas, imparting that luscious smoky bbq flavour to the dishes, with generous side dishes oven cooked.
All diners will get chips and Greek salad for the table and each main grill will come with at least three side dishes. Sides will include rice, cooked mushrooms in wine or cream, vegetables, dips, avocado and the like – all chosen perfectly to pair with whatever meat or fish you’ve selected.
This simple idea – based on a typical Mediterranean grill restaurant – makes the whole experience relaxed and easy, and it’s ideal for those that love to share eating out with partners, friends or family.
The two-story venue, which can seat around 60-70 diners, has been completely renovated with a wood and greenery theme inside.
“It’s like walking into a fantastic log cabin in a lush garden,” says owner Chris Kamolli.

The upper floor has been made into a relaxing bar area – a place to enjoy pre-or post-dining drinks, socialising and conversation, so you can relax and extend your evening. The bar area opens out onto a veranda, perfect for making the most of those summer evenings.

7 Grills will not only be open for lunches and evening meals, but Chris says it will also serve breakfasts from 9am to 11am except Monday.
