A South Yorkshire man has been jailed for twice assaulting his partner and breaking her mobile phone, court records show.

Kamil Piotr Chec appeared before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on February 1 where he admitted two counts of assault by beating and criminal damage.

The 36-year-old, of Valley Grove, Lundwood, Barnsley, attacked the woman once on January 29 and again the following day, and damaged her phone between January 28 and 29, records show.

He was jailed for eight weeks and must also pay a £128 victim surcharge.
