Sheffield United to face Chelsea in FA Cup quarter-final

Sheffield United will face Chelsea in the quarter finals of the FA Cup after Thomas Tuchel’s side narrowly saw off Barnsley last night.

The draw was made before the match in South Yorkshire, with the top flight side just about edging it to set up a tie with United.

Tuchel’s side had to overcome a stubborn display by Barnsley, who had chances of their own to cause a shock at Oakwell and it took a 64th minute goal from Tammy Abraham to separate the two teams.

The Blues came out on top when they faced the Blades at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Sunday, but only by way of a controversial Jorginho penalty, with Chelsea winning 2-1.

Chris Wilder’s side had already booked their place in the last eight with a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Tuesday, thanks to a winning goal by Billy Sharp from the penalty spot.

This year’s quarter-final ties will take place over the weekend of March 20.
