Sheffield pork sandwich shop Béres temporarily closes all its stores over Covid fears

Popular Sheffield pork shop Béres has announced that all of its shops will close for a short time following a spike in Covid cases at its production plant.

Fans of the famous Sheffield pork sandwiches will have to manage without for two weeks.

The shops will remain closed until Monday, February 15, as a safety precaution to minimise the risk of the outbreak spreading.

A spokesperson for Béres Pork Shop said: “We are taking a short circuit break due to covid issues at our production plant.

“All of our stores will be closed until Monday 15th February, Sorry for any inconvenience.”

The outbreak was not at any of the shops, and customers who visited the shops when they were open are not understood to be at any additional risk.

Béres currently has twelve different stores in Sheffield, including its factory shop in Hillsborough.
