Stan Bentley, aged 22, of Bolton-Upon-Dearne in Rotherham, has been charged with assisting an offender and remains remanded in custody this afternoon.

He was arrested as part of the investigation into the death of 20-year-old Lewis, who was shot on Wath Road, Mexborough, on Monday, January 11.

Bentley will appear before Sheffield Crown Court next month.

A total of 12 arrests have been made by South Yorkshire Police so far as part of the murder probe.

Lewis Williams’ funeral is to be held in Swinton, Rotherham, today.

Jack Parkes, 20, of Arnold Crescent, Doncaster; Ryan Nisbet of Springwood Road, Barnsley and four teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with murder in connection to his death.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 495 of January 11.
