In that article we reported allegations about Scarsdale Grange Nursing Home in Norton Lees based on information provided by a confidential source.

We included quotes from the source that gave the impression that Scarsdale Grange was being ineffectually managed during the pandemic which was putting staff and residents at risk.

Scarsdale Grange has informed us, and we are happy to accept, that it was incorrect to suggest that the home was ineffectively managing the crisis.

In particular, it was incorrect to state that Scarsdale Grange failed to provide staff with adequate PPE, or that it admitted new and returning residents from hospital who had not been tested for Covid-19.

We understand that there was no Covid in the building, and in fact Scarsdale Grange went to great lengths to ensure there was a sufficient supply of PPE and no resident was admitted to the home without first being tested.
