Sheffield Wednesday welcome fellow relegation rivals Birmingham City to Hillsborough for a hugely important clash in what is shaping up to be a nail-biting fascinating relegation dogfight.

And from 2:30pm across our social media channels we’ll be marking the occasion by hosting a very special ‘watchalong’ with host Alex Miller, our man at the ground Joe Crann and some special guests; former Wednesday keeper and manager Chris Turner, Milburn musician Joe Carnall Jr and The Wednesday Week podcaster Victoria Wood.

Throughout the afternoon we’ll deliver live reaction to the team news and of every kick of the ball as it happens; think Gogglebox, but with lots of footy.

It’ll be streamed on Facebook and Twitter on The Star’s central channels as well as on our Sheffield Wednesday channels and on Daily Motion.

There might just be a special guest or two along the way, too..

“I’m really looking forward to the watch party,” said The Star Sheffield Wednesday reporter Joe Crann. “I’ll be the lucky/unlucky one in the stadium, so I’ll be doing my best Chris Kamara impression from the South Stand at Hillsborough to bring you a updates from the ground.

“I say lucky, because I’m part of an exclusive group of people actually allowed into the ground, and I know I’m extremely privileged in that sense. But unlucky because it’s probably going to be cold, and I won’t be able to have a beer and join in with one of Alex’s quizzes. Either way, it should be a lot of fun. Don’t miss it!”
