In 2027, Sheffield is set to play a central part in one of the biggest sporting events in women’s cycling history as the Tour de France Femmes makes its way to South Yorkshire for the first time next summer – an event that is sure to have plenty of crowds gathering once more as the city welcomes the speedy Tour de France Femmes with Zwift.
As we look ahead to next years event, we couldn’t help but remember 12 years ago, when the city turned yellow for the incredible event.
Do you remember 2014, when the Sheffield saw top cyclists battle it out on the city’s steep streets from Bradfield to Wincobank, before finishing in front of Forgemasters?
Fans turned out in their thousands too. Take a ride down memory lane with these photos.
