Some nightspots and venues are still very much there. Places like The Leadmill, The City Hall, and the Crucible have kept going through the years and remain legends in their own right.
Others are still around, but with very different names and greatly changed.
But there are also some which have very much disappeared off the face of Sheffield, perhaps because the building was demolished, or because it was turned into something else.
We’ve taken a look back into the past to put together a gallery showing some of thes popular spots for nights out that have now disappeared from the city’s entertainment scene. They range from pubs to cinemas.
But what they have in common were all offered a good night out in that 80s decade.
There are probably many more that we could have included.

5. The Hornblower

8. Firth Park Bowling Alley
