As many students from across the city and South Yorkshire wait for their results today, we’ve taken a look into our archives and plucked out some pictures from GCSE Results Days from the years gone by.
There are more than 20-photos of students who have returned to school to collect their GCSE results, a time of many emotions (some good, some bad), as these young people get ready to take the next step in their lives.
Whether it’s returning for Sixth-Form, going off to college or even beginning an apprenticeship and entering the world of work – Hopefully the future was positive for each of the people captured at this moment in time.
Some of these photos go back as far as 1998 with the most recent taken in 2012.
