Refugee issues urgent plea for help in locating passport lost in Sheffield

A refugee has issued an urgent appeal for help to locate his passport after losing it in Sheffield city centre.

Qaewan Hassan, aged 32 and from Netherthorpe, is currently seeking work and needs his passport to prove his identity.

Originally from Iraq, Mr Hassan moved to Sheffield five years ago and is a refugee with leave to remain.

He lost his passport, which is blue, after producing it at a job interview.

He said: “I had it with me in Sheffield town while I was going to a job interview. On my way back I got a bus and it was in my coat pocket. I don’t know where I dropped it.

“I have looked everywhere, I’ve been to every place I went to that day but there was no luck in finding it.

“Currently I’m looking for a job. The passport I use as a proof of identification. I’m so desperate to find it.”
