These new Yoto card collections would make the perfect gift for little listeners this Christmas.

I've just got my son the new Yoto Mini for Christmas and now I'm looking at which cards to add to his collection. Yoto is a screen-free audio player for children that lets them listen to stories, music, activities and more simply by inserting a card into the player.

I love the idea of giving him something he can use independently, whether that's listening to a story at bedtime, keeping entertained on a journey or enjoying some quiet time at home without needing a tablet. And with three new Yoto card collections catching my eye, there are already a few things I'm considering adding to his Christmas list.

Myths of the World Collection

If your child loves a good story, the Myths of the World Collection sounds like an interesting addition to their Yoto library. Myths and legends are a brilliant way to introduce children to stories and traditions from different cultures, with fantastical characters, extraordinary adventures and tales that have been passed down through generations.

Escape Room Collection

For children who love solving puzzles, working things out and being challenged, the Escape Room Collection is another one that has caught my attention. Escape rooms are all about using clues, logic and problem-solving to work towards a solution, so bringing that idea into an audio experience sounds like a fun way to keep young minds engaged. Rather than simply listening to a story unfold, children can enjoy an experience that encourages them to think along the way.

Riz Chester Mystery Collection

The Riz Chester Mystery Collection is another new release I'm considering for my son's Yoto Mini, especially if he's in the mood for stories that keep him guessing. Mystery stories can be a great way to encourage children to pay attention to details, follow a storyline and try to work out what's happening before the answer is revealed. They're also ideal for little listeners who enjoy characters, clues and a bit of suspense.

I'm still deciding which ones to choose for Christmas, but I like the idea of building a small library of audio adventures he can take anywhere. If you're also thinking about getting a Yoto player for your child this Christmas, or you're looking for new cards to add to one they already own, these three collections are worth a look.
