24-hour 'premium-feel' Sheffield gym to replace Iceland supermarket in Woodseats
“It represents a huge investment into the local community”
A 24-hour gym is set to replace an Iceland supermarket in a Sheffield town centre.
Snap Fitness is opening in the former supermarket on Chesterfield Road, Woodseats, in winter, the firm says.

The £1m venue will be on two floors, have a “premium-feel,” infrared saunas, a Reformer Pilates studio, exercise classes, free parking and offer access to more than 1,000 Snap Fitness gyms globally and 111 in the UK and Ireland.
Iceland closed after many years in Woodseats in April.

The gym will create multiple jobs, according to franchisees Joe Icke and Keyvan Fani.

Keyvan said: “We’re excited to get going and our goal is for Snap Fitness to be the most inclusive gym in the area and somewhere that people feel completely at ease when they walk through our door.
“The gym represents a huge investment into the local community and with two group exercise studios and a wealth of equipment, we’re here to welcome people of all fitness levels and abilities.
“We know how much community and belonging means to people and you can expect a gym that truly puts its members first and gives back to the local area.”
