I’ve spent years working with hair, so I know how quickly a bathroom shelf can fill up with styling tools. Hairdryer, straighteners, brush, curling tool... suddenly getting ready involves half a dozen things.
That’s why the BaByliss Air Wand has caught my attention. It’s an all-in-one wet-to-dry air styler designed to dry, straighten and style hair with one lightweight tool, and it’s currently £94.99 on Amazon.
The BaByliss Air Wand is currently reduced from an RRP of £140, giving you a 32% saving. I’m taking a closer look at the BaByliss Air Wand here, particularly as it comes with three attachments designed for different stages of styling.
The idea is that you can start with wet hair and use the Air Wand to dry and style it, rather than having to completely dry your hair before reaching for another hot tool. For busy mornings, that could make the whole routine feel much less complicated.
It has a wet-to-dry air styler design, with BaByliss also highlighting its ionic anti-frizz technology. The brand says this is designed to help reduce static and create a smoother-looking finish while styling.
The three attachments are another reason I think it’s interesting. Rather than buying separate tools for different looks, you get a dryer attachment alongside styling attachments designed to help create different finishes.
I’m also drawn to the fact it’s described as ultra lightweight. Anyone with longer or thicker hair will know that holding a hairdryer above your head for what feels like forever can be tiring, before you’ve even started styling.
BaByliss also markets the Air Wand as offering styling without heat damage. I’d still use a heat protection product as part of my routine and wouldn't assume any heated styling tool is completely risk-free for hair, particularly if used frequently or at high temperatures.
The Air Wand currently has a 4.5-star Amazon rating from 308 reviews and is an Amazon Exclusive, with more than 50 bought in the past month. That review count is still relatively small compared with some of BaByliss’ longer-established tools, but the current rating is encouraging.
I’d be particularly interested in it for those mornings when I want my hair to look styled but don't have the time or patience to work through a long routine. Less equipment on the bathroom counter is another bonus.
