Jurgen Klopp lookalike launches giveaway of 114 free pizzas to Liverpool fans ahead of Man City clash
Domino’s have poked fun at Man City being found guilty of 114 of 115 charges by the Premier League – with a cheeky giveaway at their Liverpool store.
Last month, the Manchester team were found to have breached financial rules boosting their income by more than £900m over a nine-year period.

Now, Domino's is heating up the rivalry with Liverpool fans, who claim three League titles between 2011 and 2022 are rightfully theirs as a result of the accusations.
During those seasons, the Merseyside team came second to the Manchester side, narrowly missing out on the title themselves by just a few points. In response to the news, the brand is offering 114 pizzas completely free of charge(s) to the first 114 fans wearing Liverpool jerseys through the doors of its Great Homer Street Store on Sunday, ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City at Anfield Stadium.
The game marks the first time Manchester City have taken to the pitch since the outcome of the investigation was announced.

A spokesperson for the pizza brand, which launched the campaign with a Jurgen Klopp lookalike in one of its stores, said: “We couldn’t resist having a little fun with the number everyone’s been talking about. “Our verdict? We wanted to make sure fans didn’t have to worry about any charges. Just turn up in your Liverpool shirt and enjoy. Case closed!”
It comes after the independent commission said City had arranged “sham contracts” with commercial partners to inflate revenues and reduce costs, and of filing inaccurate accounts to hide their true finances, with the accurate numbers significantly breaching both the Premier League and UEFA spending limits.

The accusations relate to between the 2009-10 and 2017-2018 seasons. City have appealed against the decision and released a statement which maintained ‘The club is innocent of the accusations made by the Premier League and a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence exists in support of all of its positions relating to this case.”
After an international break, Manchester City face rivals Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday. The game is expected to be drama-filled, with the two teams battling for Premier League title wins several times in the last few years.
City currently sit at the top of the Premier League table having won all five of their matches, while Liverpool are in 6th place, with two matches and three draws.
