Police issue update on Dore Road shooting in Sheffield

An update has been issued today by South Yorkshire Police on a shooting on an exclusive street in Sheffield.

Last Thursday night, emergency services were called to a house on Dore Road, Dore, after a gun was fired at a property.

A window was damaged but no injuries were reported.

The house was sealed off and under police guard overnight and for much of the following day while a thorough forensic examination of the crime scene was carried out.

Today, South Yorkshire Police confirmed no arrests have yet been made.

The force said the incident is not being linked with any others at this time.

A statement issued today reads: “No arrests have yet been made in connection with this incident and enquiries are ongoing. It is not believed to be linked to any other incidents at this time.”

Dore Road is one of the most exclusive postcodes in Sheffield, with a number of million pound homes.
