A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a suspected shooting in Sheffield.
Ricky Mayfield, of Norfolk Park Road, Norfolk Park, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday, April 25).
The 29-year-old was remanded into custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday, May 23.
He was arrested after a 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his hand, believed to have been caused when a gun was fired on Sunday afternoon (April 23).
The suspected shooting took place in woodland off Smithy Wood Road in Chapeltown, Sheffield, close to the border with Rotherham.
