A fresh appeal has been issued in the search for a mother and her three-year-old daughter who disappeared in Sheffield nearly a week ago.

Besfortha Bharaj, aged 22, and her daughter Elia were last seen on Thursday, April 20, in the Shirecliffe area of the city at around midday.

Police today issued new photos of the pair and urged anyone who might know where they are to get in touch.

Besfortha, who is also known as Besforta Brahaj, is white with a tanned complexion, around 5ft5ins, with a slender build and shoulder-length dyed red hair.

She was last seen wearing a brown hooded coat, black trousers and white trainers, and carrying a black shoulder bag.

Elia, also known as Elia Shimaj, was wearing a white long-sleeved top, a red scarf with a matching red and white ‘Minnie Mouse’ polka dot hat, dark trousers and white trainers when she disappeared.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1193 of April 20.
