Man fighting for life after car overturns on Sheffield road

One man is fighting for his life and another is seriously injured after a car overturned in Sheffield.

The silver Peugeot landed on its roof in Derek Dooley Way, close to the Wicker junction this morning at around 4am.

A 20-year-old male passenger sustained life-threatening injuries, and the 22-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital with serious wounds.

A second passenger, an 18-year-old man, received minor injuries.

Police, who have appealed for witnesses, said the car was heading away from the Parkway when the crash happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 188 of December 3.
