Pulled up at the edge of a bus stop, blocking almost an entire lane of traffic, is this the 'most dangerous' piece of parking in South Yorkshire?

Peter Simms, who took this photo on Worksop Road, in Swallownest, certainly thinks so.

He says it's amazing the driver responsible didn't cause a serious crash in the village on the borders of Rotherham and Sheffield as buses and other traffic struggled to get past.

"This is the most dangerous parking I have ever seen. I think the driver should get a big fine as this is going to cause an accident," he said.

He says it is not the first piece of sloppy parking at the site, with the same motorist stopping each day at the same spot at an awkward angle and causing other drivers to take evasive action.

Mr Simms, who took this photo on March 26, said it was not only at the corner of a bus stop but close to a pedestrian crossing.

The Star recently highlighted how drivers in Sheffield could be fined £70 for parking on pavements under new laws being demanded by councils - a move welcomed by many pedestrians but not going down so well with all motorists.
