Theatre company Rusted Dust return to London’s Vault Festival with their new play, The Execution of Paddy Flynn.

Playwright Kieran O’Rourke’s story is set in Sheffield in 1920, when the real Mooney was involved in the city’s gang wars, based on illegal street gambling. In the play, George Mooney needs one last big score - being a criminal mastermind is hard work but she’s determined to retire on a high. Fixing the Doncaster Cup seems like the perfect chance to make some money, after all, it’s the biggest horse race in Yorkshire. Paddy Flynn has finally got his chance on a decent horse, finally got a chance at glory and finally got a chance to beat his brother. He intends to win –whatever the cost. The cast features Doncaster actor Lizzie Frain (Peterloo) as Anne, Gearoid Kavanagh as Paddy, James Barbour as Mickey and Eliza McClelland as George.
