Celebrities strip in Sheffield for new TV documentary The Real Full Monty

Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden and McFly drummer Harry Judd were among the stars stripping in Sheffield to mark 20 years since The Full Monty was released.

ITV has revealed the line-up for its new documentary The Real Full Monty, which is being shot to celebrate the anniversary of the classic Sheffield film while raising awareness of men's cancers.

The celebrity strippers appeared for the first time on stage together on Wednesday as they joined the show's host Alexander Armstrong for a photo-shoot.

They are:

Harry Judd, McFly drummer

Elliot Wright, TOWIE star

Wayne Sleep, ballet dancer

Mark Foster, former Olympic swimmer

Matthew Wolfenden, Emmerdale actor

Dom Littlewood, TV Presenter

Danny John Jules, Death in Paradise / Red Dwarf actor

They were put through their paces at Shiregreen working men's club in Sheffield, as featured in the original film, where they bared their flesh before a live audience in preparation for their upcoming performance at the London Palladium.

The documentary, produced by Spun Gold Television, will follow presenters Alexander Armstrong and choreographer Ashley Banjo as they prepare to strip completely nude in front of 2,000 people for an episode of Tonight at the London Palladium.

Alexander Armstrong said: “We are using this film to raise awareness of men's cancer prostate and testicular, encouraging guys to check themselves and look out for their friends and act on symptoms if they have them. If caught early enough, prostate cancer is nearly 100 per cent curable, but if men are not aware of the problem or ignore symptoms, as story is not such a good one, as prostate cancer kills one man an hour.”

“I hope that by showing these men have the balls to strip off in front of thousands of people, it might encourage otherwise reluctant men to overcome their embarrassment and get themselves checked.”
