The victory over the Lilywhites – the Owls’ third in four league games – moved Neil Thompson’s men to within four points of safety ahead of a hectic schedule in the coming month as they continue their bid to avoid relegation to League One.

Now they go head-to-head against a Cherries side which was convincingly beaten 3-1 at Reading on Friday night – a third successive league defeat for Jason Tindall’s men who are now eight points behind the Championship’s automatic promotion places.
