Your time will come

I read with interest the letter in Thursday's Star from 15-year-old Olivia T'Gan.
EUEU
EU

While I sympathise with Olivia’s views does she not realise we have all felt like this at some time?

When I was 15 I was convinced I was mature enough to vote. I now know better. There has to be a cut-off point and at the moment it is 18. It used to be 21.

There are probably some 12-, 13- and 14-year-olds who would like the vote.

However, she need not worry. When Olivia’s time comes she and her peers will be able to make the big decisions.

I’ve voted twice on the EU, so maybe she will get the opportunity to do so. Good luck to her, it is not an easy decision to make.
